Psalms 35:1 Plead my cause, O LORD, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me.
We are at war but we are not in this battle alone! The Lord our God is there, He will fight for us! How often we miss this, we try to fight on our own. As Mrs. Clara said in War Room, just because you fight often doesn't mean you do it well. We try to go out and take on the enemy, instead of going to our prayer closet, our War Room and fighting on our knees.
It doesn't matter if it is your spouse or your children. It could be a co-worker or someone you don't like. It does not matter, if you are facing a battle the best thing you can do is fall to your knees. Do you have someone, something you can't forgive. Pray for each person involved for 30 days, pray that God handle the situation. Pray that God handle them and pray that if you are the one that is wrong that God will show it to you. Pray that God will help you each day to forgive. Now, forgiving doesn't mean you go back for more if this is some type of abuse. It just means that you free yourself from the anger of unforgiveness. Failing to forgive is poisoning you, not them.
Pray, tell the Lord, 'I am angry, I can't forgive, I can't forget but God I believe You are able to change my mind and heart'. The battles with ourselves are often the hardest because we don't want to admit we might be wrong. But God knows what our thoughts are so telling Him isn't going to be a newsflash for Him.
Is the person you have problems forgiving you? Do you feel worthless, useless? Did you parents fail to teach you how valuable you are or worse did they devalue you to the point that you cannot see any good in yourself? Turn to God, tell Him how you feel but then ask Him to show you how He sees you. Again, do this for 30 days or longer. It took years to put you where you are, in most cases it will take time for you to truly see and understand how God sees you.
When God sees you, He sees you through the blood of His precious Son. You are beautiful in His sight. Go to God, continue to go to God. As Him to reveal His plan for you and for Him to make your eyes open to see.
