My God Delivers!

I believe the valley of this week was satan's attempt to keep me from writing.  I understand that in the scope of written word, out in the world to be read, my sphere is very small.  But the goal was to keep me from writing, not as much for what someone might read but because writing is how I express my feelings about God, to God with others.  For a number of years, satan silenced that.  He came at me with depression, oppression and feelings of total unworthiness and I quit. 


I gave up.  Today there may be no one reading what I write, but God knows I have remained faithful to write.  The devil has thrown some of his best shots at me and I wrote.  Maybe not always well, maybe not always clear but I wrote.  For the years that I was in a hopeless condition, satan didn't care what I might write because he knew my heart was not in my writing therefore I would not have anything to give.  Now he knows that I still may have days of hopelessness but I turn to the true hope and He sustains me. 


One thing I do know God has put some folks together that He has placed the same urgency to write and encourage Christians to stand up, to pray hard, to keep the faith.  We have each had days that we struggled but God has used what He has given us to encourage us.  He will give one of us a word that totally validates what another has written or He will impress something strongly to another that one of us needs to hear.


A God that loves me that much, that He spends time using others to raise me up with I am down, is so amazing to me.  He not only saved me, He not only gave me eternal life, He cares about my ups and downs.  He wants me to be encouraged.  He wants me to know how much He loves me.


If you are discouraged today and you are a Christian, know He wants to encourage you.  Know He cares about you.  Know that He wants what is best for you.  Know He wants to equip you for the battle so you can overcome these feelings.


If you do not know Him as Savior, He wants to save you.  He wants you to accept the love He so freely gives.
