Remembering the Victories

What are your favorite memories?  Are they of times with family?  Maybe a trip with friends?  What do you believe God's favorite memories of you are?  The time He saw you stand when no one else did?  The time you prayed for hours for a sick child?  The time you encouraged a brother or sister?  The time you helped someone in need?

As I thought, I hung my head that there were not more times that I believe the Lord said 'well done'.  But the race isn't over.  Even if there were not one thing I could count today, I have from today forward to make those memories.

I can today determine that, I want to be counted as His.  Regardless of the world view, His view is what is important. That won't come without some sacrifices.  There will be those that don't understand.  There will be those that disagree.  There may be those that argue.  Yet seeing Him be proud of me is more important that any of those.

I know I'm going to fail, but I will not be defined by those failures, I will be defined by the victories that come by His strength and grace.  No matter how many times I fail, I want to get up at least one more time.  I want to declare my love and praise for the one that saved me and set me free.

Praise His Name!  I say with the psalmist Bless the Lord, oh my soul!  He is able and I want to walk hand in hand with the one that calm seas and move mountains.
